Program Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the Hospitality and Tourism Management certificate, students will be able to:

• Create favorable guest experiences by using professional service management techniques in a hospitality and tourism business environment.
• Contribute to positive team performance in a hospitality business environment by appraising and managing one's own team-related competencies, in particular, the knowledge, skills, and attitudes considered transportable from one team to another
• Integrate human, financial, and physical resources management into hospitality and tourism operations and model the behaviors of effective, ethical leaders by demonstrating the fundamental principles of leadership.
• Use professional written and oral communication skills and technology to successfully communicate.
• Practice professional ethics, provide leadership, demonstrate personal and global responsibility, and work effectively as a team member.

Program Entry Requirements

A student is eligible to receive a certificate, from Michael University if he/she has satisfactorily completed the following general requirements:

1. Satisfied all admissions requirements
2. High School Diploma or equivalent, or mature student status (19 years or older);
3. Meet minimum speak English Language proficiency requirements;
4. Comfortable using technology (i.e., the Internet);
5. Completed all certificate requirements;
6. Achieved the minimum cumulative grade point average a "C" grade or better in each of the courses listed - for all course work completed at Michael University;
7. Fulfilled all financial obligations to Michael University;
8. Submitted the certificate application and paid the appropriate fees.

Upon completion of each module students will receive an instructor-signed certificate with the institution's logo to verify your achievement and increase your job prospects. Tuition and Fees

The tuition and fees are for the 2023-2024 academic year effective as of Fall Term 2023 (September 2023). Tuition and fees are subject to annual revision, announced each Summer Term for the Fall Term.

CREDIT REQUIREMENTS FOR CERTIFICATES

Michael University's Certificate Program requires a completion of all approved term modules. The following modules prepare students to take the American Hotel Lodging & Educational Institute (AHLEI) certification exam that is acknowledged by the global hospitality industry. And, prepare for the Hospitality & Standards Certifications.
